Pred kakšnim tednim dni je Emily Osment pohvalila serijo knjig Somrak v oddaji The View. Zdaj pa je za revijo CosmoGirl napisala kratko recenzijo knjige.
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer is one of my all-time-favorite books. It is a fictional adventure that takes the reader into a world of vampires, forbidden love, and a place where Bella, the main character, must make the tough decision between life without love and life without danger. From the first chapter, Meyer grabbed my attention and kept me enthralled throughout the entire book. The characters contrast so greatly, I found myself wondering how she pieced them so seamlessly.
Bella and Edward are the core characters of the book. Bella is the klutzy, unoriginal, and fearless contender for Edward’s heart. Edward attends Bella’s school like any other normal teenager. He is the astonishingly attractive, timeless figure in Bella’s life, who just so happens to be a vampire. However, he is not your typical bloodsucking vampire. He and his family are civilized and live in secret wherever they go. I felt so connected to these characters, and often would look up from the book half expecting to see them standing in front of me.
Currently, there are three books in the Twilight series found on the shelves. The fourth book is still being written. Purchase Twilight, but be prepared to buy the next two books because the story does not end. I am having the hardest time waiting for the fourth book to come out. Before Twilight is made into a movie, read the book. I am a great believer in book first, movie second. Enjoy Twilight, and remember, be careful with whom you fall in love.

Dolgo je trajalo, a končno sem le dočakala: iz Konzorcija so mi poslali knjigi Twilight in New Moon. Knjigarna je vse tri knjige iz serije Twilight naročila 26. novembra 2007 in jaz sem jih rezervirala 4. decembra. 24. februarja 2008 sem končno prejela telefonski klic iz Konzorcija – prispeli sta prvi dve knjigi. Kaj se je zgodilo s tretjo, nihče ne ve.
Ah, bom že nekako prišla še do Eclipse.
Sploh ne morem verjeti, da prvi dve knjigi ležita na mizi pred menoj. Čudež.

Billy Burke je potrdil, da bo v filmu Twilight igral Bellinega očeta.
“I started off my career being the bad boyfriend running around with the gun, and now I’m officially old enough to play a 17-year-old’s father,” observes Billy Burke, recently seen in the thriller “Untraceable” — and now, just beginning work as Kristen Stewart’s pere in the adaptation of Stephenie Meyers’ young adult novel, “Twilight.” “It’s about a young girl who comes to live with her dad and falls for a vampire — sort of a vampire Romeo and Juliet.” At the helm is Catherine Hardwicke, “one of my favorite up-and-coming directors — who did ‘Thirteen’ and ‘Lords of Dogtown.’”

Robert Pattinson je v nedavnem intervjuju za Evening Standard o odzivu mnogih oboževalcev Somraka povedal tole:
“The books have a huge following, and I’ve already got bags of letters from angry fans, telling me that I can’t possibly play Edward, because I’m Diggory. I hope I can prove them wrong.”

Peter Facinelli, ki v filmu Twilight igra Dr. Carlisla Cullena, je na svojem MySpace blogu odgovoril na nekaj vprašanj oboževalcev.
Q – Can I ask if you have read all three books?
A – Yes, I have read all three books. I read one each day. They are such quick reads, and I could not them put them down.
Q – One of my favorite Carlisle moments is the beginning of New Moon when he stitches up Bella. His comments just sum up who he is and what he is about. What is your favorite scene?
A- I would have to agree that the scene where he is stitching Bella up in New Moon is a very powerful and informative scene, and one of my favorites as well.
Q – Does it feel weird to play the father figure when you aren’t that much older then the other characters?
A – It is a little wierd playing the father of people who I am not that much older than, but having children myself, and being a father where none of the other “adopted children’ do not have children helps me understand Carlisle, and helps me establish myself as paternal figure within the cast. A few of them have even started calling me “dad”, which I find amusing.
Q – How do you like Portland?
A – Portland is great. I actually shot the first film I ever did here called FOXFIRE, which starred Angelina Jolie, in one of her first film debuts. So it’s kind of like going full circle for me to be here again so many years later.
